Registration from 1.00pm till 2.00pm

LOCATION - at the tent in Tom Jeffery Park, at the end of Agnes Street.

ENTRY - $10 per child

START TIME - 2.30pm

AGE GROUPS 5 - Under 7, 7 - Under 10 years, and 10 - Under 14 years

U7 Junior Aquathlon - 200m Run, 80m Wade, 200m Run

U10 Junior Aquathlon – 250m Run, 100m Swim/Wade, 250m Run

U14 Junior Aquathlon – 1km Run, 200m Swim, 1km Run

Entries will be ALSO accepted on the day of the event.

All participants will receive a finishers medal.

There is a prize for the first male and female finisher in each of the two age categories.

All participants in the Agnes Water Pharmacy Junior Aquathlon will go into the draw to win TWO quality TREK bikes and helmets.

(retail value of around $800 each), one each for a boy and girl.

Will there be Water Safety Officers on duty?

Water Safety is being provided by Surf Life Saving Australia volunteers.
Is Agnes Water Main Beach a calm water or surf beach?

Agnes Water Main Beach is an open surf beach. The conditions will be assessed on the day of the event for suitability for the kids to swim.
If the water is deemed unsafe for the kids to swim, will the event be cancelled?"

If the Water Safety Officers deem the water conditions unsuitable the event will be run as a Beach Run, with no swim element. Surf Life Saving Queensland representatives have the final say on water safety conditions.
My child is a little concerned about the swim leg of the aquathlon. Can I swim beside him/her?

No. Lifesavers are well trained and very capable of keeping kids safe. Please note that we will try to make the swim easy so kids enjoy it. Under 10’s will do a swim/wade in waist deep water.
Where is the run leg?

The run is along the sandy beach.
How many people can be in a team?

2 or 3 people may form a team.

Age categories will be determined based on your child’s age on Saturday 5th October.
